london, may 12 - 17

As my return ticket to SA went via London and I had some time to kill and a little bit of money left and for fear of being throttled by my UK friends had I not stopped by, I decided that I would spend some time in London before heading home.

It was great to visit London with no time pressure, catch up with friends, even if only for a moment. I had a wonderful few days.

In between her night shifts, Cath took time to take me sight-seeing in London. We headed off to Hampton Court for the afternoon.

Saturday morning Cath and I had talked about all great intentions of biking, running etc etc, but Saturday morning remained a good Saturday morning and we managed a walk down the "alley" behind Cath's place, before heading off for lunch - a good SA braai.

Saturday evening was off to the Slug & Lettuce in Fulham. Notice we weren't wearing jumpers in London outside at night. Pretty impressive!

Cath, Mel and I went to Hampstead Heath for a chilled picnic lunch - where they filmed some of Notting Hill!

The evening I went to church with Cath in Southfields and bumped into Nick and Tarryn again. Last cheers before heading off to Cecil & Maria's for coffee!

Monday morning, I packed up lugged my kilograms of luggage and headed off to Heathrow and home! End of an awesome time, but ready to go home!
